Winnifred M. Heth passed away peacefully on November 3, 2009 at the Waverly Retirement Home at the age of 93 years. Win was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK. She graduated from Saskatoon City Hospital as a nurse in 1938, spent some time nursing in Saskatchewan and later in Calgary, AB.
She married Bernard Hood in November 1940 and together they raised their three children in Calgary. In 1971, she and Bernard moved to Abbotsford, BC. When Bernard passed away in 1974, Win remained in Abbotsford where she had many friends, her sons and their families. In 1988, Win married Leonard Heth. They enjoyed many years of travels.
Win shall be lovingly remembered by her husband, Len Heth; sister, Dorothy Gates of Calgary; her children, Sharon (Bob) Raduloff, Cal (Bev) Hood, John (June) Hood; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Win’s family would like to thank the staff at the Waverly for their wonderful loving care over the past 4-1/2 years.
A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 8th, 2009 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. Chilliwack, BC
