1932-2010
It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our loving father Mr. William (Bill) Vaughan at the age of 78 years. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, November 8, 2010.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Evelyn after 58 years of marriage and their daughter Sharon. He will be sorely missed and leaves behind to mourn his sister Heather, brother Fred and their families, his eight children Karen, Donna (Dave), Douglas (Donna), Janice (Rick), Lynn (Lorne), Pam (Juan), Pat (Rob) and Bill (Veronica). He was a fun-loving, caring grandfather and great-grandfather to numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
He proudly served many years in the Canadian Armed Forces and he was a very proud member of the Legion Branch 280. He also worked for many years as the Civilian Personnel Officer at CFB Chilliwack before his retirement.
He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and cherished every moment he spent with each of us. He made sure that we all knew how loved we were and gave us each our own special time during his life. We are blessed to know that he and our dear mother can now rest in peace together.
Memorial Service will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, tea to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chilliwack Hospice Society, 45360 Hodgins Avenue, Chilliwack.
