February 4, 1925 – April 12, 2006
We are very sad to announce the passing of our beloved husband, inspiring father, grandfather and uncle, as well as dear friend. Lovingly remembered by his wife Lillian of 55 years and his five children, Tom (Maxine), Irene (Warren), Eileen (Murray), Larry (Patricia) and Lorie, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Bill served as a WAG in the Royal Canadian Airforce during WWII and remained enlisted until 1973. His enlistment moved him from the province of Ontario west to British Columbia. Bill was an avid fisherman, golfer, square dancer and dabbled with the odd deck of cards. He shared his kind wit, huge smile and spark with many of his fellow carpet bowlers and floor curlers within Chilliwack.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 1:00 pm from Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave Chilliwack. If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the RCAF Memorial Museum or to the Diabetes Foundation.
