Bill was born in Teddington, London, England, to Reginald Ashburnham and Emily Dolby, and was descended through the line of the Baronets of Ashburnham, Broomham, Sussex.
He served in the British Army in N. Africa and Italy.
He was predeceased by wife, Winnifred Rowswell, and son, Robert; survived by daughter, Cherry and son-in-law, Frank Forray; granddaughter, Susan, and grandson, Andrew.
He was Chief Accountant for Metromedia Company until his retirement in 1987.
In 1992 he married Audrie E. Brown, of Chilliwack, B.C., and they resided at her home in Pleasant Hill.
A loyal, loving friend, he kept in touch with the many families he knew in England. We will all grieve his passing. His ashes will remain with his beloved and loving wife, in the garden he called “Little Paradise”.
