With great sadness we announce the passing of Wim Cazander on December 24, 2008. We believe that he is now glorifying his Lord and Saviour, forever and ever. (Romans 11: 36 – For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever: Amen) He was born on September 20, 1920 in Gravenhage, The Netherlands and has lived in Chilliwack since 1980. He is survived by his children Hannie (Rob), Jaap (Debbie), Tjakko (Louise), Bert (Lori), Koos (Mattie) and John (Carla). Also by his grandchildren Patrick (Kristie), Natasja (Mike), Jackie (Eric), Esther, Monique (Dwayne), Jake, Danielle, Derek, Anne-Marie, Trichelle (Dave), Tiffany (Dave), Brandon, Lindsey, Michael, Andrea, Zachary, Willem, Bartjan, Tjakko, Petra, ten great-grandchildren, three sisters and two sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his wife Jacomijntje (Jacky) in 2006, his parents Jacob and Johanna Cazander, one brother, four sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law all of The Netherlands. After immigrating to Canada he retired together with his spouse from the family business. He was an active member of the Free Reformed Church of Chilliwack. The funeral took place on December 29, 2008 with Rev. H. Overduin officiating. Internment took place on December 30, 2008 at Chilliwack Cemeteries. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Chilliwack General Hospital and Bradley Centre for the compassionate care. Flowers are gratefully declined. Should family and friends so desire, donations may be made to the Guatemala Mission c/o Free Reformed Church of Chilliwack.
