1913-2005
Wilbert Graham Moore passed away on November 13, 2005, predeceased by his wife, Betty in 1998.
He is survived by three sons, Ray of Taipei and children, Craig and Cory and their mother Lynn; Mark and Scott and their mother, Sharon; Ted (Leigh) of Heffley Creek, B.C., and their daughters, Meegan and Erin; Geoff and children Ryan and Melanie and mother, Kathleen. Dad’s daughter-in-laws were very important to him.
He has seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Laurel in Etobicoke, O.N. and a brother, Harold in Medicine Hat, Alta. Wilbert also leaves to mourn his loss, Mary, a special friend and companion for the last few years.
Wilbert was born in Kindersley, Sask, but grew up near Social Plains, Alta, where he met his wife, Betty, a teacher at the Social Plains School. They were married in St. Thomas Church, Chilliwack in 1945 and moved to B.C. in 1950 to a farm in Barrowtown.
He farmed and worked in the food processing industry for many years, retiring in Chilliwack.In retirement, he was active in the Kiwanis Golden K Club and at the Seniors Recreation Centre.
Wilbert will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help.A memorial service was held at St. Thomas Anglican Church.
