Werner passed away peacefully at Abbotsford Regional Hospital at the age of 82.
He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Delores, his daughters Margret (Gordon) Brown, Renate (Steve) Price his stepchildren, Brenda (George) Bailey, Edgar (Sheeena) Bell, Melford Bell and Christiane Schoenbaechler. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Michael, Eric, Kelsey, Maggie, step-grandchildren, Tyler, Lauren, Naomi, Sheldon and Deremie: many relatives and friends in Canada and Germany.
Werner was predeceased by his first wife Ursula, his sister Ilse Wilmsmeier, his granddaughter Erin Price and his stepdaughter Janet Lowe.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for their wonderful care of Werner during his illness.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Werner’s name to the Chilliwack Hospice Society or a charity of your choice. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday October 24, 2009 at the German Canadian Club on 45190 Alexander Avenue, Chilliwack at 2pm.
