Lewington; Victor Donald William Bill.

Bill passed away on August 28, 2014 at Heritage Village at the age of 79. Born in Iberville, Quebec, September 7, 1934.

Bill was predeceased by his father, Victor George and his mother Doris Eugene. Survived by his wife Dorothy, daughters Tracy, Sonja; sons Brian (Kerri), Victor (Kris); sister Iris Bjork, brother Robert (Nick) as well as 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Bill joined the Royal Canadian Army at the age of 17 in 1953, where his career took him from Chilliwack, Germany, Gagetown, Chilliwack, Petawawa, Valcartier back to Chilliwack. While in Gagetown he met his wife Dorothy in 1959. Bill retired from the forces in 1978 and then worked as a civilian on the base. Bill enjoyed working with the Scouts, curling, square dancing, woodworking and volunteering at the Legion Branch 280 with the colour party and other positions. A celebration of life was held on September 4, 2014 at 1pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 280. At this time the family would like to thank the staff on Cheam at Heritage Village for their care and support, Branch 280 and all the many well wishes that were conveyed to the family.
