Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27th at the Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack at the age of 73. She was born December 2nd, 1935 in Chilliwack, BC.
Vickie is survived by her two daughters: Leilani (Lani) Watt, son-in-law Don; Sharine (Shari) Pridham, and son-in-law Paul. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren of which she thought one of her greatest
accomplishments: Dustin, Skylar, Madison, Branden and Devon; her two sisters: Joanne Gueck (Lawrence), Sandra Fisher (Jerry); as well nieces and nephews: Lance, Marla, Amber, Roy, Marty and Melody. She also leaves behind many friends and family.
Vickie is predeceased by her husband Elmer Ralph Holman.
Vickie will best be remembered for her love of flying and her zest for living life to the fullest. There was no challenge to great for Vickie. A great cook and photographer. She took great pride in her many years of volunteering with the Time Out Program.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life Saturday February 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home at 45901 Victoria Drive, Chilliwack, BC. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Chilliwack Lions Club.
We would also like to thank the Staff at the Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack for the incredible care they provided to our Mom and Grandma during her time with them. Their ability to respect her for who she was as a person, while allowing her to keep her dignity and pride intact. We will forever be indebted to their kindness they showed her in her greatest time of need.
