Vera passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Eden Care Centre Chilliwack, B.C. after a short battle with cancer.
Vera was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, William. Vera is survived by sisters; Jean, Gloria and brother Lesley, children; Beverley, Connie (David) McKnight, and Don, grandchildren; Katie (Claude) Britton, Chris (Jaime) McKnight, Michael (Danielle) Britton, Angie (Calvin) Benson and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Matthew Benson, Marcedes and Ryan Britton, Emma and Hanna Britton, William and Hunter McKnight and many nieces and nephews.
Vera leaves her family, friends and neighbors with many happy and loving memories. She had a zest for life and loved to socialize. Known for her desire to fill your stomach and your heart. “You were our sunshine”.
Thank you to the staff of Eden Care for the love and compassion they showed my mother and our family.
Friends of Vera’s are invited to join her family, Sunday 16 May 2010 between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm at #62 45175 Wells Road, Chilliwack for a Celebration of Vera’s Life.
Memorial Donations may be made in Vera’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
