Velma (Jean) Augustine late of Chilliwack, passed away December 31, 2002 at the age of 68 years. She was born December 3, 1934 in Fairview, Alta.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 at 3 p.m. Officiating pastors: John Gilbert, Ken Wright, and Frank Skoretz. Cremation, Victory Crematorium.
Jean is survived by her husband Frank; daughter Miette (Tracy) Hunter of Chilliwack; five step-children, Ira (Monica) Augustine of Langley, Carly (Wes) Burgemeister of Chilliwack Lake, Glena (Doug) Knopp of Grand Prairie, Alta., Mickey Augustine of Chilliwack, and Tammey (William) Crombie of Clearwater. Also survived by 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn (Cindy) Openshaw of MacKenzie, and Frank (Jane) Edgson of Thunder Bay, Ont.; sister Carol (Gene) Doroshenko of Port Moody; sister-in-law Theresa Chalmers of Burlinganne, CA.; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Gary Chalmers.
