Valerie (Paddy) HARRIS

After a long battle with Crohns Disease, Paddy Harris of Agassiz BC died of liver failure in Chilliwack General Hospital on March 15, 2005 at the age of 54.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, George and Nellie Barnes.

She is survived by her companion Greg Merriwether; her children; Richard (Debbie) Harris and Kenny Sand; brothers, Richard (Nida) Barnes, Don (Joy) Vance, Bill (Marg) Vance and sister, Marlene (Bud) Campbell; nieces and nephews, Bill (Nancy) Campbell, Debbie (Al) Koehn, Kevin (Glenda) Campbell and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank all the doctors at the Agassiz Medical Clinic, especially Paddy’s doctor, Dr. MacIntosh for all of their hard work and dedication to mom’s life. The staff at Chilliwack general hospital’s ICU ward for their compassion, and professionalism toward Paddy and her family in her last days, as well as all the dedicated staff at Hope General Hospital especially Dr. Margret.

Paddy was a person who put others first and gave all she had to make the world a better place. She was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and loved to play card games of all types.

All who knew her are welcome to attend a celebration of her life at the Royal Canadian Legion in Agassiz, BC on March 25, 2005 from 2:00-5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to community services in your town in memory of Paddy Harris. In addition to any financial contribution, please phone your mom and tell her you love her. We all need to do that more.
