Teunis (Tony) VAN DEN BRINK

Teunis (Tony) van den Brink passed away on April 19, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 70 years. He was born November 2, 1933 in Harskamp, Holland.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Dianne; sons, Bruce (Christina) and Dave (Jaimie) and daughter, Joyce (Gary) Vershuur; grandchildren, Justin, Caitlyn, Nick, Alana, Melody, Grace and Branden; mother in law, Ethel Webb; five brothers, Joe (Henny), Bill (Irene), George (Wilma), Bert (Wendy), Gerry (Carol); four sisters, Wout Roseboom, Willy Terpstra, Coba (Frank) Kloot, Evelyn (Gerry) Wierks; many nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews.

His parents, Bertus and Johanna van den Brink, brothers-in-law, Bert Roseboom and Doeke Terpstra and father-in-law, Carl Webb predeceased him.

Tony immigrated from Holland in 1958 with his family. He worked as a faller for Catermole Timber for many years. When he retired, he worked as a gatekeeper at Canex Building Supplies.

He enjoyed gardening, visiting with family and friends, and enjoyed times with his grandchildren. He belonged to the Bethel Netherlands Reformed Congregation.

A Viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Apr. 22, 2004 from 7-8 pm from Woodlawn Mt Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, BC.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Apr. 23,2004 at 10 am from Bethel Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 8920 Broadway St., Chilliwack, BC, Reverend Pieter van Ruitenburg officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Chilliwack Cemeteries.

Pallbearers are Bruce van den Brink, Dave van den Brink, Gary Vershuur, George van den Brink, Bert van den Brink and Gerry van den Brink.

Memorial donations in Tony’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
