Terry O’Hara passed away 23:15 hours, September 12, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital ECU, Comox, BC after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born 08 May 1929 in Vancouver, BC.
Terry is survived by his sister Patricia Murray (Jim) of Victoria; brother, Thomas (Nellie) of Chilliwack; brother, Fred of Vancouver; son, Michael (Sue) of Gibson, AB; daughter, Noreen of Comox, BC; son, Terrance (Linda) of Ottawa; three grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his wife Norah (Pearce) O’Hara (2003); father, James (1970); his mother Sarah Jane (1992); brother, Dennis (1999).
He joined the 13 Armed Regt DCOR (M) 1947 and the Lord Strathcona Horse Regt. (RC) in 1948. And transferred to RCOC. 1949 served in many Canadian postings and in Egypt and Europe. He served a number of years at 8 AOD RPSS Chilliwack.
A Memorial Service will be held 1300 hrs. Saturday 22 September 2007 at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
