Suzanne Gustafson, Nanni (nee Roos) born in Vancouver BC, Dec. 9, 1946 passed away peacefully on January 16, 2008 at her home in Rosedale, BC after a long battle with cancer.
Suzanne is survived by her loving spouse of 23 years, Robert Rowan; her daughter, Jeanine Svensrud; her grandchildren: Jessica, Garion and Jacqueline; her brothers: Rick Hussey and John Roos; and our kids Daisy and Jazz.
She was predeceased by her parents Arne and Margaret Roos and her daughter Harlene.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin Murphy and the nursing staff at Surrey Memorial Hospital Cancer Clinic, Dr. Vello Noble and the nursing staff at the Chilliwack Hospital, and the in home nursing staff at Fraser Health for their care, compassion, and guidance.
A special thanks to our family and friends for their love and support during Sue’s hard and well-fought battles over the past three and a half years. We love you and we thank you.
Cremation and no service by request. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
A celebration of her life will be held at our home in Rosedale on Saturday April 5, 2008, as spring was Sue’s favorite time of the year.
Two things Sue repeated a number of times over the past few years was, “growing old is not for wimps” and “life is for the living”. So we will carry on with you in our thoughts and prayers, my love, and look forward to the times when you come to visit us in our dreams.
