Stella passed away peacefully on December 11, 2007 at the age of 90 years. She was born on February 27, 1917.
Stella was raised in Gravelbourg, SK before moving to Saskatoon where she ran her own hairdressing salon and met Sheridan Phillip “Bud” Porter whom she married on February 6th 1946.
Stella and Bud lived their 61 married years in Chilliwack raising four children, Cecile (Rolland Laporte), Ed, Don and Denise (predeceased) (Larry Goodman), to whom she imparted her love of music.
Stella will be remembered for her love of people, family gatherings, and devotion to her grandchildren.
Stella is survived by her loving husband, Bud, her brother Raymond Belisle (Irene), sisters-in-law Anne Belisle (Louis) and Dolly Marfleet (Ted), her three oldest children, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing for family and friends will be at Henderson’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 18th 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s R.C. Church on Wednesday, December 19th 2007 at 12:00 noon.
