Shirley Smith passed away in Chilliwack on April 16, 2005 at the age of 75. She was born October 29, 1929 in Medicine Hat, Alberta and lived in this area for over 40 years.
Shirley was a nurse at the Chilliwack General Hospital from 1972 to 1994. She volunteered for the Senior Resource Center, Alzheimer Support Groups and Blood Pressure clinics. She was a friend to all and is sadly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her children Tyler (Janice), Spencer, Carla (Tim), Mara (Glen) all of Chilliwack and Morgan (Linda) of Prince George. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Travis, Lauren, Brennan, Landon, Coral, Malone, Jordan, Chelsea, Chad, Diane, Jodi and Shawna. She was predeceased by her husband, F. Arnold Smith.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home with Rev. Graeme Isbister officiating with interment at Vedderview Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
