(Jan. 30, 1973-Dec. 24, 2008)

After sustaining a severe head injury in 1992, our beloved son and brother is resting in peace. A life that was just beginning was cut short those 16 yrs ago.

Born and raised in Chilliwack, B.C, he graduated at Sardis Secondary in 1991. He left Chilliwack to begin a new life in Calgary, Alberta. Scott was an avid Soccer player and while in Calgary, at the age of 18, he was the youngest player ever to be invited to play on the men’s German Canadian soccer team.

They were so amazed at Scott’s ability in playing the game. Scott was excited and honored to be asked to join the team. Unfortunately, his time with the team was cut short.

He was well loved by many friends and family, and his life goal was to become an RCMP officer. He was well known for his sense of humor and was named the “class clown”. Scott had a laugh and smile that was intoxicating. He loved to make people laugh, and be the “ life of the party”.

For the past 15 yrs., Scott resided at the Heritage Village in Sardis, BC. He was well taken care of and loved by so many of the nurses, staff and volunteers. Our deepest thank you’s, and appreciation go out to these special people.

Scott will always be remembered and very much loved by his mother, Lynda Tinsley (Bob) in Alberta, father, Fred Hald (Pat) in Oregan, his younger sisters Kristi Ponting (Adam) in Alberta, Kari Haymour (Youssef) in Alberta, and Trina Hald in Alberta. He also left behind precious nieces and nephews. Tanisha, Aidan and Baby #3 Ponting, Mohammed, Lina, Aisha and Baby #4 Haymour, and Acadia Lunn. He will also be missed by so many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends.

A service of remembrance and celebration of Scott’s life, will be held in early spring of 2009. Details will be announced. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of choice in Scott’s memory.

When I come to the end of the road, And the Sun has set for me

I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free.

Rest in Peace My Sweet Boy...

Love You... Mom, Dad, Kristi, Kari, Trina and Family...
