Samuel (Sam) OTTO

Went into the presence of the Lord, on Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at London, Ontario, after a long fight with cancer. He was born on February 20, 1920, in Bruderheim, Alberta.

Sam will be missed by his loving wife Olga (married 65 years); two sons, Larry (Shirley) of Peachland, B.C. and Les (Kathy) of London, Ont.; grandchildren, June (Gary) Farmer of Chilliwack, B.C., Laurie (Wayne) Minor of Burnaby, B.C., Rod (Coreene) Otto of Langley, B.C., Jason (Niki) Otto of London, Ont., Stephen (Justine) Otto of London, Ont., as well as eleven great-grandchildren.

Sam moved his family to Langley, B.C. in 1950 and in 1955 to Chilliwack, B.C., where he resided until moving to London Ont., in 2003. He was active in the Kiwanis Club, B.C. Socred & Federal Conservative Parties and with his church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was also Past-President of the B.C. Motel Association and a Realtor for over 30 years in Chilliwack.

Visitation will be held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 552 Fanshawe Park Road, E., London, Ont. on Friday, May 26, 2006 from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral service in the church sanctuary at 1:30 p.m.

Private family interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, London, Ont.
