Samuel BURGEMEISTER

Mr. Samuel Burgemeister passed away in Chilliwack on December 10, 2005 at the age of 89 years. He was born in Hanna, Alberta on January 8, 1916.

Mr. Burgemeister was the owner/operator of the Pointa Vista since 1963. He was a WWII veteran and served overseas in Holland, Germany and France with the 1st Hussar Regiment. He was an Honourary lifetime member of the Chilliwack Fish and Game Club and a founding member and Honourary lifetime member of the Chilliwack River Valley Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Burgemeister is survived by his wife Jan of 53 years, sons; Wes (Carly Augustine) and Bob (Taimy) both of Chilliwack and grandchildren; Lee Clayton of Chilliwack, Jimmy Gomez Borroto of Cuba, Auzsha French of Chilliwack, Elisha (Ryan) Lacey of Rainbow Lake, Alberta and Krisjan French of Edmonton, Alberta and great grandchildren; Vance, Raine and Judaine. He is also survived by a sister Terry Faecher of Hanna Alberta and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 1:00 pm at the Chilliwack Fish and Game Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chilliwack River Volunteer Fire Department.
