Ruth Victoria Taylor passed away peacefully on December 31, 2005 at the age of 94. Ruth was born in Coronation, Alberta on June 20th, 1911 to Peter & Hulda Sandberg of Sweden and Minnesota. Ruth moved to the Lower Mainland during the Second World War where she worked in retail sales, provided cooking and homemaking services for others. Ruth had a passion for cooking, gardening and family.
Ruth will be missed by her daughter Iris Nelson and her family, Gary, Dean (Bev), Mark (Debbie) and grandchildren Brandon, Tara, Ryan and Adam; her stepdaughter Betty Crawford and her family, Walt, Tim, Marsh and Katie; sister Verna and many extended family and friends. Ruth was predeceased by her husbands Henry and Bill, her brothers, Martin, Harvey Denzil and Howard and her sister Margaret.
Ruth requested a small service/luncheon be held in her memory. The family will therefore be celebrating Ruth’s life with a gathering in Chilliwack at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave on January 6, 2006 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the Chilliwack Hospital ECU staff for the great care they provided to our mother/grandmother Ruth over the last few years.
