Born on October 6, 1928 in Vancouver, B.C., Pat died peacefully at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack on January 26, 2010.
Pat will be sadly missed by her daughter Wendy (Steve) Brogan, son Warren (Kim), granddaughter Kristin, grandsons Trevor and Bryce, sister Betty (Fred) Betts of Richmond, brother Eric (Diane) Metcalfe of Kelowna, brother-in-law Walt (Meg) Penner of West Vancouver, sisters-in-law Kathie Penner and Iris Penner, both of Chilliwack, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members Carly and Craig Beamin, Kristi Brogan, and Rhonda, Calvin and Cole Bjerke. Pat was predeceased by her husband Alvin, sons Brent and Grant, and sister Florence Randall.
Pat will be remembered for her years of volunteering. She was a Boy Scout (Cubs) leader in Richmond for many years, and after moving to Chilliwack she became active in both the Lady Lions and Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Pat was especially proud of being awarded the BCTV Dogwood Award for her volunteer work at the 1993 BC Summer Games in Chilliwack.
We would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Cascade Hospice for the care and compassion they gave and showed Mom over the past several weeks. The family will be eternally grateful to all of you.
