Roy WILLMORE

December 29, 2003

Roy Willmore passed away suddenly December 29, 2003 at the Chilliwack General Hospital in his 83rd year. He was born and raised in Victoria. He spent five years overseas with the Canadian army.

After he retired as a Queen’s Printer, he and his wife (a war bride) moved to Chilliwack. Rene died in 1992. Ray remarried in 1993.

Roy will be lovingly remembered by his wife Thelma; daughter Diane (Stan) Hunsbedt of Victoria, Garry (Brenda) Willmore of Beaverdell, stepson Bryon (Diana) Murphy, Darryl (Patty) Murphy, Colleen (Robin) Dyck, all of Chilliwack; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law Lilian Douglas of England; and many friends.

Roy delighted in dancing, camping, travelling and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour and his gentleness.

A memorial service was held in the chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home. Burial was in the Royal Canadian Legion Cemetery, Chilliwack.

Should family and friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon.
