Ronald Edward TETREAU

May 2, 2005

(August 2, 1946 - May 2, 2005)

“The Last Call”

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Ron Tetreau, born on August 2, 1946 in Vancouver, B.C. We lost Ron on May 2, 2005 in Terrace, B.C., doing what he love the most, fishing on the river.

Ron will be sadly missed by his loving mother, Myrtle; sister, Paula (Buck); his companion and wife, Jo-Anne; son, Wes; daughter, Jody (mother, Dayle); nephews, Pete, Tom and Caylon; many close fiends and family; and his buddies, Rupert, Kalum and Pookie.

Ron worked for the fisheries until his retirement, after which he started guiding in the Bulkley-Terrace area.

Ron loved to fish and it made him happy to share his angling prowess with others. He wanted you to catch one too!

Ron was a frontiersman in the true sense of the word — independent, practical and full of adventuire. Ron’s zest for life, practical jokes and impersonations will be lengendary for anyone he targeted.

His spirit will reside for eternity in the streams, rivers, lakes and forests of the Skeena River Watershed, Pender Harbour, Vedder-Chilliwack Rivers and the Charlottes.

Ron was predeceased by his dad, Ron, in 1997.

A service of memorium was held in Terrace on May 7, 2005.

Fisherman’s Prayer

I pray that I may live to fish

Until my dying day,

And when it comes to my last cast,

Then I most humbly pray,

When in the Lord’s great landing net,

And peacefully asleep,

That in His Mercy I be judged

Big enough to keep.

We will always love and miss you Ron.
