Ron Welles, 61, passed away on June 9, 2008 at Chilliwack Hospital.
He will be dearly missed by Marijane, his loving wife of 37 years; son, Shawn and daughter-in-law Valoree; two grandchildren Cameron and Vanessa; as well as other treasured family members in B.C. and New Brunswick.
He was predeceased by his mother Ghislaine; father Murray; younger brother Shane; and Niece Julie.
Ron was born in Noranda, Quebec and spent most of his childhood in New Brunswick. He moved to B.C. at the age of 16. He was smitten with what he called “That Big Rock Pile” - B.C.’s beautiful mountains. Ron and Marijane were married in 1971 and moved to the Chilliwack area in 1974.
Ron worked in the steel fabrication industry until C.O.P.D. began to take its toll.
Ron enjoyed golfing, camping and fishing. No service by Ron’s request.
