April 2, 1947-March 8, 2009

Our beloved husband, father and grandpa passed away peacefully, after a brief battle with a medical illness, at Chilliwack General Hospital.

He is survived by his mother Mary, his brother Norm (Darlene), his loving wife Lynda and his three children: Patricia (Josh), Bill (Kim) and Mark (Janna).

Ron has three beautiful grandchildren (Dayton, Logan & Kayla), which he was very proud of. He took a lot of joy from seeing them grow up.

Ron started his life in Montreal, Quebec in 1947, where he grew to be a fine young man. He met his wife Lynda in 1968 while serving in the Canadian Air Force. They started their family and by 1982 they moved to British Columbia where Ron served a 25 year career with Corrections Canada.

Ron enjoyed many things in life such as: walking his two dogs, watching his sons and grandsons play hockey, watching his granddaughter figure skate and, of course, his “Blue Knights” motorcycle club. Ron was an active member of the Blue Knights, raising money for the “Cops for Cancer” charity.

Ron will be remembered for his sense of humor that never stopped and his dedication to his family.

An open house memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2009 between 12:00-3:00 pm at Cottonwood Seniors Clubhouse, 7610 Evans Rd., Gate 3, Entrance on Knight Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the “Cops for Cancer” charity.
