Robin Lesliew BAKER

August 8, 2007

Robin Leslie Baker passed away on Aug. 8, 2007 after a tragic accident, at the age of 31.

Robin was pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather, George Baker in 2006.

He is survived by his loving parents, Fay & Glen Stewart and Ronald Baker; sister Desiree (Nathan); brother, Aaron; his favorite nephew, Bodey; and his grandmothers: Phyllis Baker and Thelma Granum; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Robin was a quiet, hard work-ing young man who always had a smile for everyone. He loved his job and had great respect for his co-workers and his employers.

He had a special place in his heart for nature and the great outdoors and at a very early age, became a terrific swimmer. He liked to garden and enjoyed watching the fruits of his labour grow. Most of all, he loved to hang out with his family around the campfire and just be “part of the group”.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 949 - 3rd Ave. Hope BC. Rev. Jeff Kuhn officiating.

Internment to follow at Mountainview Cemetery. Refreshments to follow at the Church Hall.

Special thanks to Robin’s fellow workers who tried so hard to save him when the accident occurred.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Robin Baker Scholarship Fund for Hope Senior Secondary School from which he graduated in 1995. The fund is set up at Envision Credit Union.
