November 12, 1954 to September 11, 2017

Beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, Rob Isbister passed away September 11, 2017 at the age of 62 from Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia. Predeceased by his dad, Robert, in 1986, his mom, Marie, in 2003, and brother-in-law, Frank, in 2001.

Survived by his wife of 24 years, Aldina, siblings Les (Glen), Graeme (Verna), and Kerry (Vicki) and nieces and nephews Anna (Guillaume), Sarah, David (Christie-Ann), Jackie, Erica, Angela.

Rob was born and raised in Chilliwack on Fairfield Island. After a brief move to the Yukon and a few years in Montreal, he settled in Vancouver.

He was a faithful fan of the Vancouver Canucks and didn't even bother watching the playoffs unless they were in them. He loved to travel to Europe, U.S., Azores, and had a special place in his heart for his yearly trip to the cabin on Denman Island.

Rob was a gentle, kind man who loved unconditionally. He was the strong, silent type who loved to smile and laugh with friends and family. He will be loved and missed forever.

A special thank you to the staff in wards 4C, 3B, and 2C at Burnaby General Hospital for 123 days of wonderful care, and another thank you to the staff at St. Michael's Hospice for making Rob's last days comfortable.

A Celebration of Life will be held in our home on September 17, 100 to 400 pm.

Please wear blue, Rob's favourite colour. Flowers gratefully declined.
