Robert (Bob) Jackson HALL

September 25, 2004

It is with sadness that the family of Bob Hall announces his passing on September 25, 2004 at the age of 88. He died peacefully in the Chilliwack Hospital, with his family at his side.

He will be sorely missed by Muriel, his wife of 65 years; his daughters, Donna Beckett (Bob) and Jody Hall; and grandchildren, Kory (Shawn Willetts) and Kelly Beckett, and Jeremy, Joellen and Michael Fung. He is also survived by his great-grandson Coleman Willetts.

Bob was a naval veteran of the Second World War, serving aboard a mine sweeper. Until his retirement, he worked in the wholesale grocery business with Kelly Douglas, living in Kamloops, Nelson, Burnaby, Penticton, and Richmond, before moving to Chilliwack.

As a young man Bob was an outstanding athlete and remained an avid sports fan. He was a past member of the Kiwanis Club, the United Commercial Travellers, and the Phoenix Club of Vancouver. Bob loved to garden and to spend time at his cabin on Okanagan Lake with his family. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his friendliness, kindness, generosity, and unfailing sense of humour.

The family will gather privately to celebrate his life on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004.
