Richard Thomas “Dick” Peter passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Cascade Lodge, Chilliwack, BC at age 84 years. He was born February 3, 1923 in Cornwall, England.
Dick is survived by his wife June; Sister Betty Younie; cousin Margery Henderson all of Chilliwack and cousin Betty Bloye of Cornwall England.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward John “Ted” Peter of Chilliwack.
Dick was a well known car salesman who truly enjoyed his work and his customers. Dick was a charter member of the Chilliwack Kiwanis Club, a member of Royal Canadian Legion (Chwk) for 61 years. He was a Warrant Officer overseas in the RCAF; as an air gunner. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hockey games.
A memorial tea will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 beginning at 2:30 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 280, 9350 Mary Street. Chilliwack.
