Born in Toronto, Ontario, June 10, 1923, died March 13, 2009. Dick passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Cascade Hospice Residence, Chilliwack, BC.
He is mourned by his beloved wife Jackie of 61 years; brother James of Florida and sister Dorothy of Toronto; daughters: Helen (John), Elizabeth and Mary (Donald); three grandchildren, Theresa, Sarah and Jason; and three great-grandchildren, Courtney, Damon and Eric.
Dick was a RCAF Tail Gunner in WWII. He joined the Toronto Flying Club and obtained his Private Pilot
License which brought a great deal of enjoyment to his life.
Dick became a licensed insurance adjuster and specialized in aircraft accident investigation which lead him on many interesting adventures.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:00 am, Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Chilliwack. Reception to follow.
