Richard (Dick) WIEBE

Passed away peacefully at the Moog and Friends Hospice House, Penticton on Saturday, January 22, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Survived by his loving family; wife of 45 years, Fay (nee Lund) of Penticton; children, Marcia (Bryan) Watling of Revelstoke, Cathy (Craig) Carlyle of Westbank, Gary (Connie) of Saskatoon, Eileen (Mark) Beutle of Kelowna and Karen (Mike) Erickson of North Vancouver; 11 grandchildren, Erin, Jennifer, Laura, Hannah, Sage, Hope, Scott, Nicole, Alex, Lily and Jake; brothers, Abe, Ben and Hank; sisters, Anne, Sue and Tina as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by brothers, Pete and Jack.

Dick moved to Penticton in 1965. He worked in construction as a foreman on the Hydro Electric Dam in Revelstoke and the Mica Dam projects. He was a member of the Local 168 of the Tunnel and Rock Workers Union.

A Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, January 28, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 1296 Main St., followed by interment in Okanagan Falls Cemetery.
