Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Phyllis May Bergen, passed away on Dec. 1, 2008 at the Jackman Manor in Aldergrove, British Columbia, age 85. Phyllis was born on Feb. 20th, 1923 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
She will be sadly missed by her children, son Bruce, and daughter Cheryl (Grant) Valliers of Surrey; granddaughters: Erica and Jasmin; grandson: Layne; and great-granddaughters: Georgia and Sophie.
Phyllis was a retired primary school teacher and superintendent. Phyllis was an active member of the First Avenue Baptist Church, and a Sunday school teacher. A leader of the Canadian Girls in Training group, a dedicated church board member, and she served in many capacities for the Ruth Rebekah Lodge.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel at Henderson’s Funeral Home.
