Peter Hiebert passed away on Aug. 30, 2002, at Chilliwack, BC, at age 76 years. He was born Sept. 15, 1925 in Carrot River, Saskatchewan.
Pete is survived by wife Molly; children: Patti (Rick) Harrison, Peter (Jennifer) Hiebert; granddaughters: Danielle and Nicole; and other family members in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his brother George.
A Memorial Service was be held on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. from Woodlawn Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, BC; Sandra Haggarty officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, BC Cancer Foundation or the Salvation Army Kitchen in Chilliwack.
Pete moved to North Vancouver from Saskatchewan in the early 1950’s, and after marrying Molly in 1958, moved to Burnaby in 1960. After retiring from work at McKenzie Barge, they moved to Chilliwack in 1989 where he enjoyed an active life of bowling, volunteering for the Salvation Army kitchen, and baking bread and buns for friends and various fundraisers. Some of Pete’s happiest times were spending time with his family and, as a child, playing on the tractor in Saskatchewan
