Peggy Ellen baillie

Peggy Ellen Baillie late of Chilli–wack, formerly of Coquitlam, passed away June 24, 2007 in Chilliwack General Hospital, age 85.

Peggy was born November 28, 1921 in Montreal. She had lived in this area for 15 years.

Her greatest interest was in her family.

In her younger days, she sailed all around the Ladysmith area. She was also an avid bowler during WWII. She acted as chief accounting officer at Ladysmith Hospital.

After the return of her husband Tom she became a mother and a housewife for the rest of her life. She was a four-time cancer survivor.

Peggy is survived by her beloved family, sons, Brian and Brad; daughter-in-law, Margaret; brother, Alan and sister-in-law, Norma (Kamloops), sister-in-law, Evelyn (Nanaimo), grandchildren; Peggy (New Waterford), Sherry (Glace Bay), April (Stitsville ON.), Tony (CFB Trenton), Amanda (Glace Bay). Also survived by 10 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Phoebe; her brother Joseph; her sister Maureen; brother-in-law Jack; niece Sherry; and the love of her life, her husband, Tom.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby, BC. Cremation at Henderson’s.
