It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Peggy Dawson.
She is survived by her son, Garry and her daughter, Sue (Sandy) Lock; her grandchildren: Rob (Vanessa) Barrett and Steve Barrett; and great-grandchildren: Cody, Cassie, Sage, Christopher and Cypress. She is also survived by her special companion, Toby.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband Peter Dawson in 2004.
Mom was born in South Hampton, England on September 27, 1926 and moved to Canada as a child. She married Dad in 1946 and they lived in West Vancouver while their children were growing up. Mom and Dad moved to Squamish in the 1970’s and finally moved to Chilliwack in 1991.
Mom loved to play games and was always a strong competitor. Early on, there was bowling and then golf became their passion. We grew up playing cards and Mum continued on as often as she could. Mom and Dad loved the sun and spent many winters in Hawaii and Arizona. Mom was a truly remarkable woman and we will miss her terribly.
As per her request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers if so desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
