Patricia Marilyn Patterson passed away on August 16, 2009 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 62. She passed away peacefully after her battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Larry Thornton Patterson, her brother Wesley Seymour Russell, her son Russell Thornton Patterson (Karen), and her daughter Laura Marilyn Patterson. She is also survived by her two granddaughters Cassandra and Courtney. Patricia was born in Edmonton, Alberta on July 31, 1947 and adopted by Edmond and Alice Russell of Lacombe, Alberta. The family moved to Enderby in 1957. She married Larry in 1969 and they lived in Victoria, Vernon, Lillooet, Nelson, Cranbrook, Airdrie (AB), and Chilliwack. Although Pat was primarily a homemaker, she did work at Noca Dairy, Fields, Forestry, and AMEC. She also spent many years volunteering for the Hospital Auxiliary in Cranbrook.
Patricia will be remembered in a memorial service at Woodlawn Mt Cheam Funeral Home on August 24 at 1:30 pm in Chilliwack. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
