Norman Wilson (Wild Willie) TELFORD

September 19, 2002

Norman Wilson Telford passed away on September 19, 2002 at Heritage Village in Chilliwack, at age 85 years.

Norm is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie; son Trevor (Wendy) of Port Alice; and daughters, Marilyn (Roy) Lear, and Gail Telford, both of Chilliwack. He also leaves nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by granddaughter Jacqueline Marie Telford in 1980.

Norm was a member of the B.C. Dragoons during the Second World War, trained the 5th Canadian Motorcycle Regiment and was a Sgt. in the tank corps. After the war, Norm and a friend started the Atom Delivery Company with just a couple of motorcycles. He retired from the Used Heavy Equipment section of Vancouver’s Finning Tractor at the end of 1979. Motorcycles remained a big part of Norm’s life, and he was a longtime member of the Greater Vancouver Motorcycle Club.

Norm’s family would like to thank his caregivers in the Cheam section of Heritage Village for the loving and exemplary care he received during his three year residency.
