In loving memory of our dear Mother, Grandma, and great-grandmother who passed away with her family at her side on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Chilliwack General Hospital, at age 96.
Neta was born in Alt-Bergthal, Manitoba.
She married Arthur Friesen in 1940. They came to Vancouver on their honeymoon and started a family then moved to Chilliwack.
She was predeceased by her son Wayne in April 1970, her husband Arthur in February 1971 and son-in-law Jerome Herle in April 2005.
Neta is survived by sons Dale (Debbie) Kamloops; Darwin (Pat) Lumby and Al Friesen, Chilliwack; daughters: Karen Herle and Waneta (Dale) Sabo of Chilliwack; 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; brothers Harry klippenstein of Abbotsford, Johnny Klippenstein Manitou, Manitoba; and many nieces and nephews.
Neta’s six grandsons will be pallbearers: Glenn Smith, Dale Friesen Jr., Darren Friesen, Dwayne Loewen, Tyler Friesen and Brad Herle.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Heritage Village who took such good care of mom for the last two years. Also to the nurses on the 4th floor of Chilliwack General Hospital for their good care in the last week of her life.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed very much.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, B.C.
A viewing will be held before the service from 12 noon – 1:00 p.m.
