Monica Kathryn KELLINGTON

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Monica on February 22, 2008. She was born on January 30,1918 and just celebrated her 90th birthday. She was born in North Portal, Saskatchewan to Polish immigrant settlers.

She spent her early years in South Saskatchewan where she married her husband John, and raised her three sons. In the 1950’s, the family relocated to Chilliwack.

Monica loved her sports. She was a past ladies club champion at Meadowlands Golf Club and an avid fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Seattle Mariners. She will be missed for her sharp wit and her keen sense of humour.

She is survived by her three sons: Wayne (Pat), Gerry (Sharron) and Blair; sister, Rose; brothers: Joe and Tony; her grandchildren: Larry, Susan, Lynn, Kathy, Terry, Alison, Scott, Wade and Brad, as well as 23 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by husband, John in 1983; sisters: Frances, Josephine, Olga, Jean and Helen; brothers: and Mike and Victor.

Special thanks to the staff at Cascade Manor and 4th floor nursing staff and Dr. John Campbell.
