Mona Louise Michie (nee Upchurch), late of Chilliwack, formerly of Bradner, passed away June 19, 2003 at home in Chilliwack at the age of 69 years. Mona was born August 18, 1933 in St. Paul, Alta., and lived in this area for 27 years.
Mona loved her family, life and helping people. She was always available to listen and provide meaningful words of wisdom to anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Mona is survived by her husband Mike Michie; children, Ken (Maureen) MacDonald, Lark (Randy) Hein, Allan MacDonald, Lorri (Randy) Sawatsky, Heather (Michael) Morelli, Holly Seekins, and Christy Karlof; nieces Sheree, Cindy, and Tammy; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mona was predeceased by her sister Yvonne Williams; parents, Clifford and Mildred Upchurch, and Aunt Mable Smith.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army Community Church at 46420 Brooks Ave., Chilliwack, with Major Don Law officiating.
