(nee Stevenson)

(Sept. 14, 1935 – Jan. 20, 2008)

Beloved wife of Donald Gordon Ribble, Colleen passed away peacefully on January 20, 2008 at Chilliwack General Hospital with her family at her side.

Born September 14, 1935 in Montreal, Quebec, Colleen moved to Toronto with Don, the love of her life, in 1956, and then to North Vancouver in 1966. She enjoyed 17 years in Abbotsford before moving to Chilliwack three years ago.

Colleen loved dinner time conversation, walks with her dogs, celebrating our successes, and helping us with our bad days. She was truly grateful during her long illness for Don’s devotion and tender loving care.

Predeceased by her parents William Edward Stevenson and Elizabeth Margaret Rice, and her sister Elizabeth Mary Dolores Bremner.

Survived by her husband Don; daughter: Tanya Bezemer (Alex), sons Kevin (Ambreen) and Carl (Helen), grandsons Willem and Byron, granddaughters Anna, Jane, and Rebecca, great-grandson Caeleb, brother-in-laws Robert J. Smith (Becky) and Jim Bracegirdle (Betty), nephews Glen (Don) and Eric (Mona), nieces Gail and Deborah (Brent), Rice cousins Sandra (Laird), Bonnie, Erin, and John, cousin Andy Mackenzie (Sui Mei), grandnieces Lindsay (Jeremy), Brooke (Jas), Erica, Melinda, and Jennifer, grandnephew Shawn, great-grandnieces Lauryn and Josslyn, and great-grandnephews Trent and Cain.

Colleen requested cremation with no funeral service. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life was held in Ladner on January 27, 2008.

The family sincerely thanks the doctors, nurses, and staff in NU4 at Chilliwack General Hospital for their thoughtful care.
