It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father “Buck” on September 27, 2008 at the age of 89 years “young.”
He was predeceased by his wife Val on September 14, 1999, and brothers Howard and Arthur.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Judi and Linda; brother, Wendall (Joyce); sisters-in-law: Marian Buckingham and Stella Brown (Victor), and numerous friends and relatives.
Buck was a Cultus Lake resident since 1945 and was very active in the community throughout his life. In his early years he was a volunteer firefighter and coached softball and soccer. He enjoyed his retired years as a member of the OAPs at Cultus Lake as well as traveling.
After his discharge from the Air Force at age 25, he was employed as a carpenter at the Army Base until his retirement at age 60.
Service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack.
