Mike Monchak passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2002 in Chilliwack, BC, at the age of 82 years. He was born May 21, 1920 in Daysland, Alberta.
Mike is survived by two sons, Rick (Jane) and Darcy (Dawna Lea): four grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Laura and Matthew; sisters, Helen (Frank) Bruha, Ann (Bill) Sawula, Rose (Andy) Sawula and Kay (Walt) Hillaby. He was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Mary Monchak and one brother, John.
The family wishes to thanks Dr. Kishi and the staff of both Chilliwack General Hospital and McIntosh Lodge for their kind and professional service. Heartfelt thanks also to Mike’s many friends for their generous love and support.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm, on Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Chilliwack. Reception to follow at the Masonic Hall.
