She renewed her faith late in life and has gone home to be with her Lord.
May Ellen Winter passed away November 6, 2008 at the age of 89.
She was born in Preston, Ontario on May 25, 1919.
She was predeceased by her four siblings; Eric, Howard, Doug and Margaret; her husband Bob in 2001 and her grandson John Borrill in 2004.
She is survived by her two daughters; Sharon (Jim) and Susan; three sons, David (Sharon), Roland (Sharon) and Ron (Barb); 10 grandchildren, Rob and Fred Borrill, Jennifer Barth, Cathy Winter, Dawson Winter, Kirsten, Rachel and Gage Winter, Rhiannon Britten and Lyle Winter.
She is survived by great-grandchildren: Michael, Shayne, Roger and Paige Matte, Mariah, Sienna and Bentley Barth, and Alexah Borrill.
Also, numerous nieces and nephews, and a cousin, Nellie, in England.
May loved her family and friends and enjoyed visits with them; especially the grandkids and great-grandkids.
She was a very talented craftswoman; spending countless hours at a wide variety of handicrafts, including knitting, crocheting and bead work.
A Celebration of Life was held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home in Chilliwack at 1 PM.
Family and friends gathered in the Tea Room there after the service for refreshments and reminiscing.
