Mary Zabowski passed away on July 29, 2004 at Glenwood Care Home in Agassiz, BC at age 87 years. She was born February 2, 1917 in Krydor, Sask.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Sally (Marcel) Compagna of Holbein, Sask., Roma Bidyk, Edmonton, Anne (Frank) Baboth, Agassiz; son, Leon Zabowski Jr., Agassiz; extended family, Adeline (Dick) Grange, Quesnel, Sylvia (John) Einhorn, Burnaby; sisters, Rose Babiy, Sally Labatch, Anne Kirilenko, Natalie (Mike) Zivkovich; brothers, Pete Marchuk, John (Rose) Marchuk, Mike (Alvena) Marchuk all of Sask., numerous grand- and great-grandchildren.
Her husband Leon in 1974 and her parents, Steve and Pearl Marchuk, her sister, Jean Balan and three infant brothers predeceased her.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2004 at 1:30 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, BC.
Pallbearers were Frank Baboth, Steve Baboth, Mark Baboth, Kevin Baboth Chris Baboth and Michael Gormley. Honourary Pallbearers were Pete Marchuk, John Marchuk, Mike Marchuk and Marcel Compagna.
Memorial Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
