Mary Lightheart, late of Chilliwack, B.C., passed away at the Chilliwack General Hospital on January 9, 2006 at the age of 90 years. She was born in Vancouver, B.C. on August 5, 1915.
Mary will be greatly missed by her loving family of two daughters, Margaret (Lloyd) Wilson of Princeton, B.C. and Linda Ley of Ottawa, Ontario, four grandchildren; Mike, Rick (Irene), Shannon and Dale and five great grandchildren; Colin, Katherine, Jarod, Victoria and Jordan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews
She was a loving and caring wife of her first husband, Michael Edward Ley, and of Fredrick Lightheart, both of whom predeceased her.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, January 16, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Salvation Army Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford, B.C., V3G 2E2. If family or friends so desire, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to a charity of choice.
