Mary Hiebert, born in Waldheim, South Russia on February 8, 1920, formerly of Manitoba, and Alberta, late of Chilliwack Lifestyles, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 at Chilliwack General Hospital, at the age of 86.
She is predeceased by her husband, Rudolph; parents, John and Mary Voth; brothers, John (I), John (II), Henry, Abe, and Bill.
She is survived by brothers, David (Hilda), Neil (Susan), and Ike (Lois); and sister Anne Toews (John deceased).
She is mourned by five children, John (Elaine), Rudy (Marilyn), Mary Ann Bursey (Brian), Allen (Edith), and Elva Nurmi (Juha); 11 grandchildren, Craig (Jackie), Kristi Lee (Matt), Kevin (Nubia), Corwin (Eileen), Carla Neufeld (Tim), Scott, Adam, Dan (Natalie), Sonja Dyck (Mark), Tuomas, and Matias; two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Kaleb Lee; sisters-in-law, Anne Holberton (Fred), Kay Voth, and Betty Voth; and nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
A memorial service was held at Broadway Church in Chilliwack on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. Reverend Robert Friesen officiated.
