(1947-2009)

Liz Dunster was a devoted mother of three, passionate educator and inspiring friend to many. All of these qualities were made bright by the love of Christ that shone in her life. She trusted God completely and lived a unique life of freedom. A modern-day gypsy, she lived without worries in many homes, vans, boats and tent trailers across this beautiful country. She found great joy in serving others and giving generously in any way she could think of. Her love for all people allowed her to meet and listen to others without judgement, but her reward in heaven gave her courage to speak boldly and with wisdom when needed.

Her children Julie, Shari (Sheldon), and David (Mel) will treasure the simple pleasures and creative adventures she shared with them. We mourn most for her grandchildren, Mercede and Trinity, and her many young friends at the YMCA daycare who will miss out on sharing more of her spirited-nature and love for life and learning.

Our Liz passed away suddenly on June 17th in Campbell River. She had been visiting her best friend Laara, and though doctors say she suffered a massive heart attack those who had seen the two together know she likely laughed herself to death!

Her passing has been covered in many blessings and the Lord continues to make Himself known through her life and death. A celebration of her exceptional life will be held 11am on Saturday, July 11th at Central Community Church, 46100 Chwk Central Rd., Chilliwack. Anyone wishing to is encouraged to make a donation on her behalf to the YMCA Endowment Fund by calling 604-792-3371.
