Mary Eileen Gibson passed away in Chilliwack on January 12, 2005. She was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan on November 21, 1913.
She became a registered nurse and served in several hospitals including Shaughnessy Hospital during World War II. She married Maurice Gibson and they lived an active life in Boston Bar until Maurice’s death.
Some time later Mary moved to Chilliwack and served for many years as a faithful volunteer at the Red Cross Equipment Loan Service. She was a member of the Field Naturalists and of the Friends of the Library.
She is survived by her sister Fanny and a nephew as well as by a number of relatives in England.
No service by request. Cremation to take place at Valley Crematorium in Chilliwack.
